 Solar energy is the sun’s rays that reach the
earth.
 Solar energy can be converted into thermal energy and
electricity.
 One way to convert solar energy into electricity is the solar
cells which change sunlight directly into electricity.
 Thermal energy is often used for heating swimming pools,
heating water used in homes, and space heating of
buildings.
